Cambridge Junction, 26 Apr 2026
Soundhunt is delighted to welcome two remarkable creative musicians: the cellist Isidora Edwards and the percussionist Phil Marks.
Trained as a classical cellist at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Isidora is a London-based experimental cellist and composer from Chile whose work explores improvised sound through acoustic, amplified, and processed cello, voice, and electronics. She is interested in how improvisation can unsettle ways of listening, where hesitation becomes relevant material, opening spaces for questioning musical practice. She has released albums with the labels Relative Pitch Records and Scatter Archive.
Phil Marks is quite simply one of the most creative drummers and percussionists active in improvised music today. Originally from Manchester and now based in Portugal, he has played in the innovative electro-acoustic band bark! for over thirty years, was a longstanding member of the Alan Tomlinson trio and has also played for many years with pianist Stephen Grew and saxophonist Mick Beck along with many others.
This afternoon we will present Isidora in duet with Dominic Lash on double bass, Phil in duet with N.O. Moore on electric guitar, and a quartet.
