Roo Panes

Storey's Field Centre, 18 Sep 2025

In association with Cambridge Folk Festival

Roo Panes is a British singer-songwriter whose musical journey has unfolded over more than a decade. Initially emerging as a folk artist, his music over the years has also taken colour from other genres such as indie, alternative or classical music, creating a sound that is both expansive and intimate.

Since Roo Panes' breakthrough debut album, the artist has released 4 critically acclaimed albums and toured the globe including recently selling out Barbican Centre, and stand out performances at Shepherds Bush Empire, Glastonbury, Haldern Pop, Latitude, and more.

Known for his evocative compositions and introspective poetry, Panes explores the terrain of human experience, delving into themes of relationship, personal growth, and faith. As a writer he has endeavoured to maintain a sense of purpose at the heart of his work, his songs serving as vessels for profound emotion, transforming complex feelings into melodies that resonate, and lyrics that act as a bridge between the everyday and the eternal, inviting listeners into moments of genuine connection and reflection.

In a musical world often dominated by noise and spectacle, Roo Panes stands as a testament to the enduring power of quiet authenticity.
