Ely Cathedral, 19 Aug 2026
The Lantern Dance Theatre, Ely's integrated contemporary dance group, will be joining us in The Lady Chapel from 13:00 on Wednesday 19th August, presenting a performance of their original piece, "The Running Hare".
The Running Hare tells the story of St. Melangell, the patron saint of hares. Music by Yann Tiersen, Nils Frahm, Eric Whitacre and others. Poetry by Kate Caiomhe Arthur. Choreography by Helen Pettit. Costumes by Rebecca Valentine.
The performance will last approximately 1 hour. There will be a retiring collection upon exit, raising funds for future Lantern Dance performance projects.
Entry will be available with a Cathedral Day-Visitor ticket or valid pass. Once you have your entry ticket into the Cathedral, make your way to the Lady Chapel where our team will admit and seat you for the performance.
