Gina Birch & The Unreasonables is the live and recording band of the legendary post-punk icon Gina Birch, a founding member of the seminal band The Raincoats.
The Unreasonables primarily consists of two musicians who also collaborated on Birch’s studio recordings: Jenny Green on electric guitar and backing vocals, and Marie Merlet, a multi-instrumentalist who contributes to the band's live performances.
The band’s sound is rooted in the DIY punk spirit but incorporates eclectic elements like "funky reggae riffs" and "danceable, off-kilter rhythms". Their setlists focus heavily on Gina Birch’s solo discography.
