New Music Wednesdays: Shade of Envy + Evy Frearson

A first for Chelmsford, and a great step for grassroots bands to get their music heard outside as well as inside the venue. Bands, venues, radio, and promoters all working to further the scene and the city together.

SHADE OF ENVY

Founded in February 2024 and hailing from Essex, ***Shade Of Envy*** are a rock band which have quickly become known in their local scene for their creative original songs, thunderous-yet-catchy riffs and energetic live performances. With songs covering both personal and political themes, they’ve carved out a niche for themselves in an impressively short space of time. They’ll get the energy turned up to 11 at any venue.

EVY FREARSON (with band)

Evy is a 21 year old British born Alternative floaty rock artist who loves to explore storytelling through multiple mediums. Her writing and playing style is inspired by her love of the legends from the 90s and more contemporary sounds such as Jeff Buckley, Yebba and John Mayer.

At just 21 years old, Evy has already been played on national and international radio, these are including however not limited to BBC 6,BBC Introducing, Future Hits, City Sound, Phoenix FM, Planet Rock and many others. They have all featured her music and supported her graciously over the last few years. BBC 6’s Tom Robinson exclaimed Evy has a “Deep, rich, immersive sound.
